| Riga men's team face a tough National League Division One
fixture against Stoke-on-Trent at Warwick's St. Nicholas Park Leisure Centre on
Saturday (6.00 pm).
Stoke are one of only two sides Riga have not beaten in the top flight and this season's match away match also saw the Potteries men come out on top. Riga go into the match on the back of a disappointing defeat at the hands of Liverpool. "None of us were happy with that performance," said Riga captain Tom Young. "The defeat doesn't mean we're back in the relegation zone but it's a setback." High-riding Stoke have their sights set on finishing second in the final table. "It's another big game for us," added Young, "not least because we need to get our season back on track. I'll be looking for a performance from the guys on Saturday, whatever the result." |
