RIGA LADIES GET THROUGH TO SEMIS IN NATIONAL SHIELD
Riga ladies travelled to Leeds this weekend to take on Leeds Carnegie 2 in National Shield semi-finals. Having played Carnegie in a league game just 2 weeks before that Riga only just won 3-2, it was sure to be a tough game. You will be able to read all about the game here. The girls now face the semi-final on 25 February against either Plymouth or Team South Wales (watch this space!).

TRAINING NIGHTS
Training nights continue as follows:-
- Super 8s mens training is on Wednesdays at Centre AT7 from 7.30pm.
- Womens training is on Tuesdays from 7.30pm at Centre AT7.
- Club night's indoors at Bablake from 6.30pm.
- There aren't any regular Junior training sessions currently planned. But if you're interested (for year 7 and above) get in touch with us and we'll keep you updated on the next session available for you to join. Just email us by clicking here!

MEN LOSE OUT TO LEEDS CARNEGIE IN CUP QUARTER FINAL
Straight on after the girls the men faced Carnegie in the National Cup Quarter Final. Carnegie are top of Super 8s and a formiddable force. It was always going to be a tall order for Riga. But they gave a good fight and you can read all about it here.

NEW PLAYERS WANTED!
Whether you've been playing volleyball all your life or are relatively new to the game - Riga would love to hear from you! For the 2011/2 season we offer playing opportunities for all. For men there is the opportunity to play in the Super 8s and our women have a team in Division 3. We also have a vets team, a junior team and plenty of social volleyball so there's something for everyone! Due to the success of the Club its rapidly expanding and we'd love to hear from any new players or any old players looking to re-kindle the love for the game.
