The club were deeply saddened by the loss of 3 young volleyball players in a car accident at the Poole tournament. James, who played for Brentwood, along with Susie Manning (Romford) and Mark Pitman (Wessex) died on Sunday when the car they were travelling in was in collision with another vehicle between Wimborne and Poole.
James was well known to many Riga members, having accompanied (and played for) the Riga Old Boys to Belgium last year lowering the average age by some considerable margin!
He also played in National League Division 3E last year against Riga 2nds.
