Warwick Riga II 3 Oxford Students 1 (23-25 25-15 25-23 27-25)
| Sunday 16 October saw Warwick vs lots of students in the first triangular home game of the season. Warwick were keen to put the training into use and get a win under their belt. In the first game against Oxford Warwick got off to a good start, but then lost momentum. Despite some excellent back court play from Jayne Oxford took the set 25–18. The second set was a case of déjà vu with Oxford again taking the set 25 -18. The final set went even quicker with Oxford taking the game 25-12. In the break Warwick put their heads together to try and ensure a better result against Loughborough |

The team went out strong and the first set was extremely close, but finally went 25 – 23 Loughborough's way. Warwick were determined to dig in and fought back hard with some excellent play from Maja and Rachel. The team powered on and took the second set 25 – 15. Coach John had decided to use Amanda as libero for this game, a decision which certainly paid off as Amanda continued to provide good pass after pass to Clare and Ginny. The third set when Warwick's way 25 – 23. |
