A long standing member of the team, Netty can be relied upon for her strong back court game as well as her killer attacks through 4. Although she might need some occasional direction off court (e.g. reminding her about games), on court she is one of our most consistent players. |

Jayne Warman

A long standing member of the team, “Mummy” Jayne is one of our most valuable players. After giving up on her attempts to retire due to the unanimous decision that she was not allowed to, Jayne continues to provide fantastic hitting through 4 and very strong back court play. Jayne can always be relied upon to settle the team and this season she continues on as team Captain |

ClareClare Joined Riga in 2001 and has become one of the team’s most valuable assets due to her strong setting and unparalleled chanting ability. A very versatile player, she can be called upon to play opposite or through 4 when she is not setting. After several years, Clare has finally managed to pass on the role of secretary (she was just too good at it), however she still contributes greatly to the club and continues to act as webmaster webmaster@rigavolleyball.com

Julie Brommell

After playing in division 1 for many years, Jules is a valuable addition to team. She is a vital part of the passing unit on court, which has been known to break down without her....shall we say loud direction. Despite normally appearing as Riga’s Libero player, Jules can also be relied upon to play both opposite and through the outside, allowing her to show off her strong hitting and killer serves. |

This season sees the welcome return of Bella after playing with her university team last year. Bella is a valuable member of the team with her strong hits, consistent passing and powerful serves. She can be relied upon to perform under stress, often managing to serve aces on match point! It’s good to have her back! |

A long standing member of Riga, Ginny is a valuable asset to the team. Her strong setting consistently sets up the Riga attack, with the occasional “Hand of God” thrown into the mix! Another one who keeps threatening to retire only to be shouted down by her team mates (you can’t get rid of us that easily Ginny!) |

Helen joined the club in 2010 after being plucked from Nuneaton local league. Now in her second season of NVL with Riga, Helen has become a valuable member of the team, with her killer attacks through four. She also brings some strong serving and excellent back court play. |

Mim joined the team in 2008, bringing much height and some strong blocking through the middle. Her hitting has fire coming from it and her block is also known as "the wall". As well as tending to the team’s medical needs, Mim has taken on the role of team secretary this year. |

This year Chris has taken a step back from coaching to get back into the playing side of the game with Warwick Uni. Therefore, Rodney is taking the reigns to bring out the best in the girls as they make a bid for promotion into Div 2. Chris is still a regular fixture at training though helping out with drills from time to time.
